In the moments after the game, Murray was said to have celebrated with fans in the front row of the stands in a stunned stadium. A man in the competition was seen reaching out to punch Murray in the face, but the defender reacted before leaving the field.

Las Vegas police confirmed to The Associated Press that a report of the battery was taken at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, less than two hours after the game ended. It is not known who submitted the application, which he named a mere spectator, a professional football player.

Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Monday that he had not seen the video of the alleged altercation when asked about Monday's incident.

"I was just told about it," Kingsbury said, according to ESPN. "But I think the guy has a poor life, whoever did this, I hope they get him, he's going to be fired, he'll never be able to go to another game."
